Waroad Apple TreeApple trees can be found in landscapes across America.  They are know for their beautiful fragrant flowers in spring time.  It is by far one of my favorite signs of spring.

Apple trees are great additions to any landscape for many reasons.  In addition to their beautiful blossoms, the apples they produce are the finest autumn treat there is.  Of course many people prefer the smaller crab apple varieties, I am drawn to the edible varieties.  Some are great for fresh eating, others for baking or storage, but all are delicious in their own way. Protect your investment

We all love the look of a perfectly manicured landscape. Many of us invest big money to plant trees to improve the overall look of our yards. Sadly many of these same trees are often overlooked once they have been planted.

If a tree is pruned properly for the first 5 years after it is planted and then again every 3-5 years after it will often avoid many of the the problematic issues that would plague the tree for the rest of its life.

We have all witnessed a tree that has broken, or been diseased and wondered what could have been done to save it from an early demise. By spending a little time and money on your trees you can save yourself the heartache of cutting down a tree that has become a major part of your landscape. And let's face it tree care is far less expensive than tree removal.

Palmquist Landscaping is now open for business!

Tree care and landscaping has been a passion of mine since as long as I can remember.  I guess it is just one of those things that God hard wired into me.

I typically carry my pruning tools with me everywhere I go.  If there is a damaged branch, I cut it.  If there is an unsightly tree I prune it.  If two young trees are battling for space, I get to pick the winner.  READ MORE
